Maybe Tonight lyrics
'sup. Thinking about recording a cover of Maybe Tonight, but can't make out one line of the lyrics. Can anybody decipher the line immediately following "my body was shakin', 'cuz I was making it with you"?

I'd fill it in myself with something close, but I can't bring myself to tarnish Mr. Mo's brilliant lyrics.

I see this community is kind of dead....
But, I just was recently introduced to Jon via being Ben Folds' opener this past November. And I've got to say, the man's fanatastic. And hilarious. And well, everything you'd want in an artist.

Went to three back to back shows, and had talked to Jon a couple times via the internet (even got me into the third show on the comp list because it had sold out) and in the third set he refrenced my friend and I and changed the set list for us just so we "didn't think he was a robot."

All around great guy! :)

Attention Corn Mo fans...
I am thinking of doing a zine all about everyone's favorite, Corn Mo. I will probably be asking him for an interview, but I am also looking for submissions from Corn Mo fans. Do you have any stories to share about Corn Mo? Maybe you met him, maybe something really great happened at a concert, or maybe you just want to tell me about how much you love him! I am also looking for those who are artistically inclined to submit some Corn Mo art.

This zine idea is just now hatching, but I am on a tight deadline to have my zine done by April 18th, so I would need the submissions relatively soon. If you are going to submit something but don't have it ready yet please let me know so I can gauge how much material I will have for my project.

Send submissions, plans for submissions, questions you have, or suggestions for Corn Mo interview questions to me at this email address: dsb.zine@gmail.com. (Please give me some details about what you're planning to submit, also.)

Thanks in advance for your help, fellow lovers of Corn Mo!!!

Most likely my fiance and I WILL be getting the one and only CORN MO to perform at our wedding next year. I am so freakin' excited. He is willing to work with us on a price that will fit our budget, even. We have to pick an exact date still, but he's into it, says it sounds like it will be fun. Our wedding is going to be the most awesome event ever in life. We're going to have him do the wedding and the reception. Man, I can't wait!

I recently got The Magic is You and I Hope You Win. The cds are both amazingly good. I can't believe there aren't more people in this community. My current favorite song is Hersey's Miniatures. Makes me smile. Well, that and The Day Jason Klein Cried, but I can only listen to that on Corn Mo's myspace. My fiance I saw Corn Mo open for TMBG in Detroit some months back. Didn't know what to expect (so expected him to suck, like a lot of opening bands) and we were just amazed. He's funny and talented and just... wow. We want to hire him to be our wedding entertainment next year (as long as funds will allow!)

Anyway, just thought I'd say hi. What is everyone else's current favorite Corn Mo song?

Corn Mo question
Okay here's the thing, I just saw him at a show where he opened for Ben Folds, and like most people, I was a bit skeptical at first. Soon after though, I was proven wrong and he rocked me back to the wall. When he closed with Hava Nagila Monster, i laughed so hard I almost threw up. So here is my request, if anyone can help me out...

... anyone know where I can get a recording of this song? It'd be appreciated, thanks.

The revamping of CornMo.com reminds me...

This is the Mo during his second time onstage during Particle Man with TMBG, July 18 2004 at Trees in Dallas.

My favorite part of the revamp is on the music page: "Digital Music - It's all fun and games until your grandma gets arrested."

It's great to see Corn Mo appreciation in the LJ world!

I met Corn Mo 3 or 4 years ago when he opened for the late Wesley Willis in Dallas, and he was kind enough to record "Maybe Tonight" for a short film I directed.

Not long after he moved to Brooklyn, TMBG came through town and as Flansburgh signed autographs I told him he had to check out this local guy who was now in Brooklyn named Corn Mo. He said he would.

Was he really listening to me? Of course not, but it's still kind of a cool story, and it makes me happy that he's touring with TMBG now :-) Check out the footage of him rocking Particle Man that I got at Trees in Dallas on his site!

i saw corn mo for the first time in my home town of santa cruz last month, opening for they might be giants. he rocks. watching him up there on stage I realized there are cool artists like him out there that I have never heard of, and it gave me a lot of faith in the originality of culture at large.

corn mo is super cool. his stories on his web site are awesome.

thanks to whoever started this group.

i joined this community a while ago and haven't really had anything to post in it. this makes me feel really bad because corm mo deserves better. so now i will share an inappropriate somewhat corn mo related story with you all:

i was hanging out with some friends one night who were on hallucinogenic drugs. we went and played in a playground behind an elementary school. (there is an elementary school smack in the middle of my college campus...does anyone think that's a little weird?) then we hung out in the newspaper office waiting for aqua teen to come on, and desperately trying to use the computers. technology was not on our side that night.

we looked around and noticed that we had done something to screw up each computer one at a time. the office was filled with nothing but blank white screens. this made us laugh hysterically for about fifteen minutes straight. and then my friend gregg said "you know who i wish was here with us right now? corn mo!" he was right too, that would have been perfect.

anyway, that's the annotated version of my ever so slightly corn mo related story. i have lots of pictures of corn mo from various concerts that i will post next chance i get.

whats the story?
So I saw Corn Mo on Sunday and had never heard of him before. Is he part of the Polyphonic Spree? I saw the pic of him next to Bowie.

my corn mo story
so, i went to see TMBG at First Ave in Mpls last month, and when we got there, i noticed someone named "corn mo" was opening for them. i was like, CORN MO, wtf? I hadn't heard of him. Anyway, he got onstage and sang Lollipop, and I fell in love right away. the guy has got such an incredible voice, and his songs are amazing. he mentioned that he'd be playing for free the next night in St. Paul w/ common rotation, so I brought some more friends over there to see him. this time around, i got to hear him sing Busey Boy and some new stuff. After the show, i got very nervous to talk to him, but i went up and thanked him for coming, and bought his DVD and one of his zines. i figured i'd order his latest CD online later, but it's been out of stock for awhile, so that sucks. corn mo was such a breath of fresh air. the guy is so fucking talented, i haven't been able to get his songs out of my head since i first heard them. i hope he comes back around soon.
